Xiaomi has officially moved its entire flagship lineup to TCL CSOT displays. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra and 17 Ultra Leica Edition are the latest models to debut TCL CSOT’s Real RGB panel technology, cementing TCL CSOT as the exclusive display supplier for all Xiaomi 17 series devices, including the 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is equipped with a 6.9-inch 2K flat OLED panel powered by TCL CSOT’s M10 emissive material. With LTPO technology enabling a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits, the display delivers excellent sunlight readability and improved HDR output. TCL CSOT tailored this display solution to meet Xiaomi’s precise demands for visual clarity, accurate color reproduction, and optimized power consumption.
TCL CSOT’s Real RGB architecture stands apart from typical OLED panels by assigning every pixel its own red, green and blue subpixel – eliminating sub-pixel sharing or fringing while increasing text sharpness and overall image clarity for enhanced text rendering and an image experience comparable to true 2K displays without compromises typically associated with OLED technology.
TCL Central reports that their new display boasts an 82.1 cd/A luminous efficiency rating, providing high brightness output with reduced power usage. When combined with their power-saving LTPO backplane design, Real RGB displays offer up to 26 percent energy savings compared with older display generations.
Real RGB panel technology was first made public this year on Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max phones, the latter also featuring an impressive 2.9-inch rear AMOLED display. Xiaomi further optimized their Ultra model’s main display to support LOFIC HDR for more accurate reproduction of dynamic range captured by its 1-inch image sensor.
Since their alliance in 2017, Xiaomi and TCL CSOT have expanded their collaboration. TCL CSOT and Xiaomi established a display technology lab in 2021 which will undergo its second expansion by July 2025; through this initiative Xiaomi can receive tailored hardware tuning on flagship models of its lineup instead of buying off-the-shelf parts from other vendors.
