A new report by DigiTimes states that TSMC is preparing to start 3nm chip manufacturing at their Fab 18 and, of course, being one of the most important TSMC customers, Apple will be the first to enjoy the benefits of cutting-edge technology. This is in the same vein as earlier news reports and Apple appears to be in the right direction in the direction of upgrading its latest generation products in 2023 using the M2 Pro chip.

It is believed that TSMC will hold an event in the Southern Taiwan Science Park on December 29th to mark the beginning of 3nm chip manufacturing process and to explain its plans for expanding production of 3nm silicon on in general.
Recent reports suggest that Apple plans to launch the M2 Pro chip based on the 3nm node of TSMC in the upcoming MacBook 14 and 16, Mac Studio and Mac mini. Then, A17 Bionic and the M3 chip could be based on an improved 3nm manufacturing process developed by TSMC.
